Silent Auction

in support of

We are extraordinarily proud to be able to offer this incredible painting by Corrine Barton for silent auction at our 45th Army Art Show.

'Fresh Water Bay May Morning'' is a magnificent acrylic work on linen, and at 90cm x 120cm, it's exquisite detail cannot fail to impress.

Corinne is a realist oil painter with an art teaching degree from Melbourne Teacher’s College, and a Diploma of Art from Claremont Art School. In 2016, Corinne travelled to the Angel Academy of Art in Florence to study the Renaissance style of painting and has very generously donated this stunning work to support Connected By.

You will be able to participate in the auction throughout this years exhibition.

Despite a slow start, bidding warmed up over night to see the excitement grow with some frantic activity, right up to the deadline.

We are very pleased to announce that Corrine's stunning acrylic on linen work, found its new home at $3,820.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Corrine for her generosity, congratulations to our winning bidder, and appreciation to everyone who participated.

"As a painter, I've always analysed aspects of visual reality.  Refractions of light through glass, the effects of light and shade, reflections, mist, skies, waterfalls.  Capturing moments of pure beauty and perfection gives me great satisfaction."

“Connected By is most thrilled to be the 2019 Army Art Beneficiary. At Connected By we help people move forward in creative ways and we are very excited to be able assist more people thanks to Army Art. Creativity is a great tool in any wellbeing practice, it can provide an outlet for emotions, the time to self-reflect, and most importantly the space to heal. For me personally the most exciting thing is seeing people find and develop skills they never knew they had, it can open doors to so many possibilities. Connected By is dedicated to providing opportunities for people to learn and grow through challenging and rewarding creative pursuits in a safe community environment. We believe the future is bright and that together with Army Art we can shine the light a little bit brighter for our ex-service personnel. Thank you Army Art.”
