Comet Bay College have commenced a project that honours WA's veterans - Portrait of a Veteran. The aim of the project is to challenge people's perceptions of "what is a veteran?". The stereotype is an elderly man who was once in the army many years ago... and although that still represents a portion of the veteran community, there is a wide range of people who have served - male and female, old and young, Army, Navy and Airforce and from different cultural backgrounds. Portrait of Veteran aims to show that diversity. Portrait of a Veteran are looking for artists to paint the portraits of veterans. The finished artworks will initially be displayed at the Comet Bay College ANZAC Service on
