Artist Statement

My ceramic practice explores nature, memory, erosion and traces left by time and experience. Drawn to organic forms and rock surfaces, I explore how they change through time and natural forces. Working in porcelain and stoneware, I use carving, layering, slips, screen printing, glazes and Raku firing to investigate surface and texture. Experimentation allows unexpected marks and variations to emerge, reflecting fragility, endurance and transformation.
