Artist Statement

Born in Hampshire, England I lived and worked in Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, The Gulf, Cyprus, Somalia and Australia. I initially qualified as a veterinary Pathologist specialising in diagnosis of animal diseases. My travels have gradually inspired and shaped my artistic style wanting to create artworks that will outlive my mortal span. I see metal as a medium to achieve this and am inspired to create welded works for others to enjoy long after I have gone. Now settled in south Fremantle I have the time to devote myself to my artistic pursuits.

A burst of spring, daisies captured in steel. Hand-welded from medium-duty steel with graceful stainless steel stalks, this bunch of flowers is framed by a bold 10mm square steel surround. Vivid acrylic petals center on gleaming stainless rivets, all finished with a high-gloss Duramax seal for lasting shine and durability.
