Artist Statement

How beautiful is our State's flora and fauna! For over 40 years Robyn has been inspired to paint the wonderful colours of Western Australia's native flowers and birds. Her paintings have a strong design element and are painted on a large scale in oils. The Kookaburra is particularly enticing to paint as it is a challenge to portray their soft feathers while producing a 3D effect. Being a teacher of all mediums, a judge, a lecturer, an en plein air artist and supplying paintings for Perth galleries keeps Robyn very busy. All of her paintings are joyous, colourful, happy and are intended to uplift the viewer.
