Artist Statement

I paint the vast and evocative landscapes of Western Australia, drawing inspiration from its pastoral beauty, open spaces, and expansive horizons. Working with palette knives and thick, buttery oil paints, I build rich layers of texture and colour across the canvas. I abstract these familiar landscapes through vibrant, expressive colour, capturing not only the physical character of the land but also the sense of freedom, light and space it evokes. My paintings are a celebration of the Australian landscape—its openness, energy and enduring beauty.
