Artist Statement

Living on the Western Australian coast, I am constantly inspired by the incredible colours and lively energy of our native birds and beaches. I work with oils because the rich textures allow me to really bring these scenes to life. For me, nature is a beautiful mix of total calm and wild energy, and that is exactly what I try to capture on canvas. When someone looks at my paintings, I want them to feel like they can step right into the scene.
