Artist Statement

My artistic practice is about creating authentic, classical paintings that portray the often-overlooked beauty of simple things. Fruit is one of my favorite subjects, luscious, glowing, vibrant. Other creative inspirations are old objects, birds and animals. I attempt to interpret and re-create the quiet grace found in everyday moments in an intimate way, one that invites a pause and quiet reflection in this modern, fast-paced world.
