Artist Statement

Studying the material remains of the Somme battlefields in Northern France, I decided to turn my hand to recreating some of the artefacts I was researching through stippling art. The two pieces I have entered were the first ones I attempted, and this led to many more. I am pushing my boundaries to include landscapes and have just completed a piece called Advance on Munich Trench, from 15th November 1916, during the Battle of Ancre.
