Artist Statement

I love the creative and mindful aspect of painting. For me, the magic of watercolour lies in its unpredictable nature - embracing the contradiction between careful planning and letting go.  Inspiration comes from nature and extensive travel. I am drawn to strong light, deep contrast, and the specific emotions nature triggers.  While my work is rooted in realism, I frequently explore semi-abstract and experimental ideas.
