Artist Statement
My late father inspired my love of timber. With his guidance I built my first timber yacht and spent many years sailing on Melville Waters. Later, after creating furniture from recycled timber, it was a natural progression into woodturning utilising timber from felled trees that others see no purpose in. And now, I find inspiration for my resin work in the character of wood grain and its natural distortions.
