Acrylic on Board. Point Peron Lookout is my palette knife rendition of an actual scene near where I live in Safety Bay Western Australia. I wanted to show the raw rugged character of this area where there are many rocks and where the natural vegetation grows down to the sea. There is a lookout platform in the near distance where visitors can admire the coastal views incorporating the nearby natural reef where jagged rocky outcrops spring out of the water and many small inaccessible inlets show themselves.

Oil on Board, framed. The Salt Path takes it’s title from the controversial book of the same name by Raynor Winn. However this painting is inspired by our daily walks around our local coastline in Warnboro Sound – especially around the Kite-surfing area locally known as The Pond where there are many tracks through salt marshes and sand dunes with occasional glimpses of the sea.

Acrylic on Board Pilbara Dreaming is painted from my imagination & is very much influenced by time spent in Karratha in the north of Western Australia. The amazing red earth, the flat rocky coastline and the turquoise water left a strong visual imprint in my memory banks. My intent is to capture the soul, ancient energy and vibrant colours of that part of the Pilbara coastline by using brilliant rust-oranges and sun-baked ochres to contrast with the cool turquoise of the coastal water and vast, light-filled skies.

Acrylic on Canvas At the Seaside is an expression of my memories and feelings of summer holidays as a child at the seaside in England. It is about that magical feeling of being on holiday at the beach as a child on warm summer days. I have used warm colours to depict the feeling of summer and used turquoise, blue, white and ochre to depict a sense of light reflecting across the water and dark areas to depict rocks, boats and buildings.
