Artist Statement

Painting to me has been about colour and detail, I am attracted to both. I enjoy the challenge of representing what I see but I also want to convey what I feel in that moment too. I have returned to painting with a renewed sense of curiosity. Learning, experimenting and discovering where watercolour can take me is a journey but I love it’s unpredictably. The techniques allowing light and colour to shape each painting drive me to continue.
