Artist Statement

My paintings are an invitation to step away from this hectic world and into somewhere quiet and unhurried: a garden where sunlight dances on the blooms, or a beach where your feet sink into soft sand. I leave people out of my work on purpose, so that you're the one standing there. Details like the curve of a shell, dappled shadows, or petals catching the light draw you in and make the scene feel close enough to touch.
