Twelve Times Two
Twenty-Eight parrots are a subspecies of the Australian Ringneck parrot native to the South West of Western Australia. Their name is onomatopoeic, relating to one of their common calls. For those who cant quite hear the link, there is some evidence to suggest that French explorers coined the original name, and indeed the French phrase for "28" vingt-huit (pronounced "van-tweet") is possiby more accurate. Their Noongar name, toolnut, is also onomatopoeic.
